Trading Price Action

Price Action Trading - Traderead9 Price Trading Seminar Introduction

How I Started Trading

at the time of the yellow square i would receive a buy signal-sell signal at the yellow lines
WHY was the signal placed at its location - unknown
signal outcome - random
60-40 win:loss - 20-80 realized results

When I Became A Profitable Trader

price movement is irrelevant to the signal trader
figuring out signal location
observation of price action before-after signal
chart reading for price movement-price action

method-setup development from my studies-confusion
compare to current discussions about right side only-indicator trading confusion-problems
BUT IF the is the norm for traders - the actual method will be as-more confusing

price action trading seminar

price action area = paa
price action
significant price development
price pairs

right side price moves are repeatedly 'drawn' to certain price areas
we can find these prices and be aware of them
there may be confusion when price gets there
sometimes there are clear 'start point' rejects - sometimes there is apparently meaningless 'straddling'

resolving the price
significant price from previous price action
repeating price action at these prices when price returns

consider:  having paa prices 'resting' on your chart -vs- continuously finding-replacing prices from fast chart-right side.

are you better off using the 'old' prices as they are usable OR from the 'new' prices
what are the primary tradeoffs

Price Is The Missing Ingredient

Price is what allows you to be selective
Price is what makes a right side base setup – a tradeable setup

Price reading is confusing
Do you even have the prices on your chart?
Are they significant?
Are they single prices or price pairs?

I don’t know what prices to use
What are you doing about that?
What prices are you using?
How many prices are you using?

Using the prices is confusing
They don’t always work and/or they aren’t always usable

How are they being used – marking price and using-trading price is completely different?
You aren't a trader - you are a problem solver OR are you a problem creator?
The prices aren’t confusing – they decrease confusion
Use them when they are usable – ignore them when they aren’t
This is method selectivity and filtering

3 typical approaches to price
fade it - breakout - avoid
other alternatives
